The B-Sides 2: JAY Z will perform at re-opening of iconic New York City venue Webster Hall

Monday morning, the venue announced that after a two-year renovation, it would be re-opening its doors on April 26 for a B-Sides 2 concert featuring the incomparable Hov.

The opening night performance will mark the rap mogul's first time hitting the stage at the iconic venue as well as serve as the second installment of the B Sides concept, which he first introduced back in 2015 at his Tidal X: Jay Z B-Sides concert in New York. That show featured guest appearances from Beanie SiegelMemphis BleekFreeway and more. 

According to Billboard, a limited number of pre-sale tickets will be made available to American Express Card members starting Thursday at 10 a.m. ET, after which tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday via Ticketmaster at 11 a.m. ET.

After closing in 2017, Webster Hall was acquired by Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. “When we were thinking about who would be the right choice to open this legendary venue, we knew it had to be a world-famous New York City icon,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of BSE Global, said in the statement, according to Billboard.

He continued, “No one fits that description better than JAY-Z, who will join an unparalleled list of celebrated performers who have played Webster Hall.”

Other acts scheduled to perform in the coming months at the 133-year-old venue include Patti SmithMGMT and Chromeo.
