Did Nas confirm 'The Lost Tapes II' album release?

ABC/Randy HolmesNas has sent fans into a frenzy over the possibility of his long-awaited album, The Lost Tapes II, finally seeing the light of day.

Tuesday, the veteran rapper shared a cryptic video to Instagram in which he is seen holding a battered cassette tape which reads: The Lost Tapes II. Nas didn't offer much detail in the post's caption, other than the curious eyes emoji.

Adding to the speculation is the "World Is Yours" lyricist's appearance in the video. He's wearing white gloves and a matching lab coat, which fans are assuming means he's on the set of a video shoot.

The first installment of The Lost Tapes was initially released in September 2002. It featured unreleased tracks from Nas' 1999 album I Am... as well as from his 2001 effort Stillmatic. The LP has long been praised as one of the rapper's strongest bodies of work.
