Future, Chris Brown and Janet Jackson slated to perform at controversial Saudi Arabia show

ABC/Randy HolmesFutureChris Brown and Janet Jackson have been tapped to perform at the Jeddah World Fest, in Saudi Arabia, following Nicki Minaj's withdrawal from the concert.

The festival, which has been dubbed controversial by activists, is scheduled to take place today at the King Abdullah Sports Stadium. The line-up is also set to include Tyga and 50 Cent, as well as EDM superstar Steve Aoki and pop star Liam Payne.

As previously reported, Minaj was featured as a headlining act on the original bill but opted out of performing after being urged by the Human Rights Foundation to reconsider her participation based on Saudi Arabia's human rights record.

Last week, the Head Barb shared a message to fans explaining her cancellation of the performance and reaffirmed her solidarity with the LGBTQ community, women's rights activists and freedom of expression.

"After careful reflection I have decided to no longer move forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest,” Minaj's statement read. “While I want nothing more than to bring my show to fans in Saudi Arabia, after better educating myself on the issues, I believe it is important for me to make clear my support for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community and freedom of expression.”
