Lil Chano was celebrated as the first independent SoundCloud Premier creator to notch a billion streams on the platform, and was honored with a special plaque marking the milestone.

The rapper uploaded his first track to SoundCloud eight years ago and has subsequently used the platform to build his following via his mixtapes, including Coloring Book, the first streaming-only album to win a Grammy.

In 2017, Chance and Young Thug released the song "Big B's" exclusively to SoundCloud to draw traffic to the site, amid reports that it was in danger of closing down.

Chance's debut album The Big Day is, of course, available to stream on SoundCloud as well.
