The incomparable creative genius of Missy Elliott is set to be celebrated this weekend, as MTV brings the ultimate fan experience to the Big Apple.

Following the news that the Grammy-winning lyricist will be receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at this year’s VMAs, the network has also announced the unveiling of an interactive Museum of Missy, celebrating all things Missy.

In partnership with Pepsi, MTV is bringing fans an experience of lifetime, as the pop up highlights Missy's storied career and spotlights several of the creative visionaries behind some of her groundbreaking music videos. The immersive installations include a recreated set of “The Rain” visual, in which fans can sport the iconic garbage bag onesie; photos from memorable videos like “Gossip Folks" and “Sock It 2 Me"; and a “Supa Dupa Fly" lounge inspired by the cover art of Elliott's debut album.

The ticketed experience will be open to the public August 24 and 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m

“Missy Elliott is creative genius whose contribution to music and pop culture can be felt across generations,” Mona Scott-Young, Elliott’s longtime manager, said of the one-of-a-kind museum. “The fans deserve and the world is ready for a museum that celebrates Missy Elliott and her iconic, record-breaking career.”

Tickets for the Museum of Missy are sold out.
