Adele's "Someone Like You" Tops Britons' "Baby-Making Playlist"

Columbia RecordsAdele's song "Someone Like You" is a sad ballad sung from the point of view of a woman who's been dumped.  But for some reason, folks in the U.K. just love to listen to it while they're trying to conceive.

The website ShareMyPlaylists.com has surveyed its users to create the ultimate "baby-making" playlist of songs couples who want to have a baby use to get them in the mood to get it on.  "Someone Like You" topped the list, despite its unromantic nature.  The rest of the list includes more obvious tunes, such as "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon, R. Kelly's "Bump N' Grind," Bruno Mars' romantic "Just the Way You Are" and, of course, Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On."

Marvin's "Sexual Healing" also made the list, as did James Blunt's "You're Beautiful," Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You" and Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight."

Kieron Donoghue, founder of ShareMyPlaylists.com, told Britain's Daily Mail, "We wanted to find out more about which songs get Brits in the mood the most, specifically when it comes to baby making, which can be a stressful time in the bedroom department for many."

He added, "The songs are tried and tested by parents, so while we can’t guarantee the success they’ll encourage, we can guarantee that they’ll help get you in the mood!"

Drummer Chad Smith Hopes to Begin Working on Next RHCP Album at End of Summer

Ellen von UnwerthNeed more proof that we won’t have to wait another five years to get our hands on the next Red Hot Chili Peppers album?  Drummer Chad Smith says that the guys hope to head into the studio to work on the follow-up to 2011’s I’m With You after their appearance at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE in June.

“There’s always little ideas percolating,” he tells ABC News Radio.  “Probably when we finish [touring] in the end of the summer we’ll start writing some new songs.  Everybody’s got little ideas and soundcheck jams and stuff like that but we really get down to the nitty-gritty when we all get in a room together and just start playing and see what happens.”

Smith adds that fans will soon be able to get their hands on new music from the band as they’re readying the next installment of their vinyl Singles Club, which features extra tracks from their I’m With You sessions.

“We have a couple more [coming out],” he explains. “I was talking to Josh [Klinghoffer], our guitar player [and] he’s doing a couple of little tweaks and then we mix them and send them out.  I think people like them.  For us, it was recorded a long time ago but for our fans, you know, they enjoy hearing new stuff.”

Jon Bon Jovi Cuts Check to Charity After Richie Sambora Concert No-Show

PR NewswireBon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora surprised fans of the band by leaving the group's tour suddenly just before a gig in Calgary, Canada, this week.  But maybe the money Bon Jovi saved on Sambora's salary is going to a good cause, because the New Jersey rockers announced that they would donate $100,000 to the Calgary Homeless Foundation to make up for Sambora's no-show, reports The Vancouver Sun.

"They're cutting the check today and it will be here tomorrow,"  foundation spokeswoman Louise Gallagher told the paper after speaking on Wednesday with Jon Bon Jovi's management.  The foundation's rep went on to say the gift is a huge boost to the agency and, "such a pleasant surprise... [because] no one here was expecting it."  Though no official decision has been made yet about how they'll use the $100,000, Gallagher explained that the money could easily provide a year's worth of housing and other assistance for 10 people.

The Calgary Homeless Foundation works with governments, local agencies and faith groups as part of a 10-year initiative to end homelessness.  Of course, charitable giving comes easy to the Jon, whose Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation funds various programs to help families and individuals in need.

Adam Levine on Acting: "I Don't Know What I'm Doing, but I Love It"

Facebook,com/NylonGuysMagAfter making his TV acting debut on American Horror Story: Asylum, Adam Levine will next be seen on the big screen, playing Kiera Knightley's boyfriend in a film called Can a Song Save Your Life?  And the Maroon 5 frontman says he finds he's already been bitten pretty hard by the acting bug.

Speaking to Nylon Guys Magazine, Adam says of his acting experience, "I don't know what I'm doing.  It's fun though.  It's really fun to try it.  I respect it a lot, so I certainly wouldn't call myself an 'actor.'  I'm trying new things and moving really slowly in that world, and not trying to bite off more than I can chew 'cause I don't wanna overstep my bounds."

That being said, Adam says he's discovered that he really enjoys the process. "I'm trying to explore and see if I love it and I kind of really already love it," he reveals. "We'll see.  We'll see what happens."

If Adam decides to make acting a permanent part of his repertoire, he'll have to squeeze it in on top of his Maroon 5 duties, as well as his commitment to NBC's The Voice.

"The Voice is fun," he tells the magazine. "It continues to be this really inspiring, fun thing that I never thought was going to be what it is...being part of someone else's career is really refreshing."  He adds, "It's also fun to interact with other people.  Usher and Shakira have been great, they've really taken to it really fast. Blake continues to be a d**khead and I love him more than anything."

German Animal Rights Groups Want Apology from Justin for Bringing Monkey into Country

Image Courtesy Justin Bieber via InstagramA couple of animal rights groups in Germany want Justin Bieber to cut it out with the monkey business.

The German branch of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said Wednesday that Justin's pet monkey, Mally, is being well taken care of at a shelter after it was seized from him by German customs officials last week.

Apparently that's not good enough for two German organizations that argue Justin has shown a lack of respect for animal protection laws.  According to E! News, Animal Public and Tierschutzbund e.V. are calling for Justin to pay a fine of roughly 64 thousand U.S. dollars.

The groups also want Justin to issue an apology, presumably for owning Mally in the first place.  On its German-language website, Animal Public has posted a quote from its spokesperson that reportedly reads in part, "Mally is only 14 weeks old. To separate him from his mom and to take him on tour as a living stuffed toy can only be characterized as animal cruelty."  Basically, the group doesn't want to see Justin reunited with Mally.

Mally was taken away from the singer because he failed to provide the proper paperwork required to bring the animal into the country.  Justin can get the monkey back if he fills out the required documents within the next few weeks.

The Bieb has concert dates in Germany Friday and Saturday night.

Black Sabbath Reveals Cover Art for Upcoming Album, "13"

Republic RecordsWith the June 11 release date for Black Sabbath's long-awaited studio album, 13, fast approaching, the record is promising to be a real scorcher.  The heavy-metal legends have unveiled the cover art for the collection, an image of the number 13 set ablaze in front of a black background.

Black Sabbath also has debuted a brief new video that brings the album cover to life.  The 27-second clip, which was posted at the group's official YouTube channel, features backwards footage of a flaming number, which appears to be made out of hay or some other kindling material.  Accompanying the video is a snippet of what sounds like one of the new Sabbath tunes.  Frontman Ozzy Osbourne can be heard singing the phrase "nowhere to run, nowhere to hide" to the driving track.

13 will be available as a standard CD, a high-quality vinyl LP, a deluxe two-CD set and a limited-edition super deluxe box set.

Selena Gomez Didn't Ask to Be Edited out of Justin's New Movie

ABC/Rick PowellSelena Gomez and Justin Bieber are no longer a couple, but of course, photos and footage of them together will live online forever.  That's why a story claiming that Selena demanded she be cut out of Justin's forthcoming 3D movie doesn't make much sense...and why, according to E! Online, it's not true.

Star magazine had claimed that Selena was "flipping out" because she found out that Justin planned to include footage of them together in the movie, and insisted she be edited out.  "She made it clear she does not want to be in the movie, DVD extras or anything at all," claimed the magazine.

But a source close to Selena tells E!, "There is absolutely no truth" to the Star report.

The singer and Spring Breakers star has a lot more on her mind than worrying if she's in a movie with her ex. Her new single "Come & Get It" is being released on Monday, she's got a new album coming out and she just signed on to appear in a new movie called Rudderless.  Furthermore, as a source tells People magazine, "She's enjoying being single."
