A few days ahead of Alicia Keys' scheduled performance of her new single "Girl on Fire" at the MTV Video Music Awards, one version of the track leaked Monday.
The "Inferno" remix of "Girl on Fire" features Nicki Minaj and name-checks Marilyn Monroe. Nicki opens the track by rapping, "Spirit of Marilyn callin' me, audibly/Ballin' she said that she would never leave/Continue to torture me."
Three versions of the single, including the "Inferno" remix, hit iTunes today. Alicia will perform "Girl on Fire" at the VMAs on Thursday night.
"Girl on Fire" is off Alicia's album of the same name, due out November 27.
Nicki also makes an appearance on Lil Wayne's new Dedication 4 mixtape, on which she may or may not have endorsed a certain presidential candidate. She reportedly raps, "I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/you lazy b***es are f***ing up the economy."
