Beef Sticks Recalled; Could Contain Foreign Material

Image Courtesy - Klement's Sausage Co.(MILWAUKEE) -- The USDA has announced a national recall for beef sticks produced by Milwaukee-based Klement's Sausage Company.  The recall involves more than 2700 pounds of the product.

The 8 ounce packages of Market Pantry Beef Sticks Original, with a sell-by date of March 1, 2012, were shipped to distribution centers and retail outlets nationwide.  The packaging contains the number 2426B in the USDA seal of inspection. The recall comes after a retail chain reported consumer complaints of foreign material, like plastic, in the meat.  The Agriculture Department's Food Safety Inspection division has received no reports of injury.

Anyone with questions should contact Klement's at (414) 744-2330.
