(PHOENIX) -- An Arizona man is under arrest, suspected of being the culprit in a string of dozens of beer thefts from Phoenix area markets over a nine-month period.
Angelo De Leon was arrested Wednesday after Phoenix police identified him as a suspect in the thefts. Police said they identified De Leon after reviewing camera footage at Circle K markets throughout the region.
De Leon was booked on 54 counts of organized retail theft, accused of making 54 beer thefts during a nine-month period, totalling $6,877.97 worth of merchandise. De Leon was arrested after he was reported to be acting strangely on a roadway.
