USP Florence is a high security facility and part of a complex that has been dubbed the “Alcatraz of the Rockies.”  It’s also home to shoe bomber Richard Reid, 20th hijacker Zacarias Moussaoui and more than 30 other terror convicts.

Shahzad arrived on Dec. 28 and will be housed in a two-man cell in the general population area.
