Casey Anthony Sentenced to Four Years in Jail
ABC News(ORLANDO, Fla.) -- Casey Anthony was sentenced to four years in jail on Thursday after being found guilty of providing false information to law enforcement officers.
Judge Belvin Perry ruled that Anthony will serve one year and a $1,000 fine for each of the four counts against her. However, he added that the time she has already served in prison -- 997 days -- plus her good behavior would be taken into account.
"With the good time and gain time, depending on preliminary figures, sometime early August, maybe late July," Perry said, predicting her release date.
Anthony, 25, awaited her sentencing at Florida's Orange County jail, where she has been for more than two years, locked up 23 hours a day in protective custody. She will serve the remainder of her time there.
