FBI Nabs Los Angeles Building Inspectors in Bribery Sting

LA Police Department(LOS ANGELES) -- Two Los Angeles building inspectors have been accused of taking payments to approve construction projects without actually conducting an inspection.

Hugo Gonzalez of Eagle Rock, 49, and Raoul Germain of Altadena, 59, were arrested by FBI agents Saturday morning. Investigators learned about the bribery case after a tip from a confidential informant last summer.

If convicted they could spend ten years in jail.
