Photo Courtesy - Morne de Klerk/Getty Images(AUSTIN, Texas) -- Seven-time Tour De France champion Lance Armstrong is calling it quits.

The 39-year-old cyclist is hanging up his bike after a career that spanned two decades.

Armstrong last raced nearly a month ago in Australia, where he finished a disappointing 65th.

Armstrong, best known for winning an unprecedented seven Tour De France titles, has been in the news for different reasons in recent years, as his name has been linked to performance-enhancing drugs. He has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and says that had nothing to do with his decision to retire.
