Missing Colorado Cat Found in New York City Five Years Later

Russell Illig/Photodisc/Thinkstock (file photo)(NEW YORK) -- A calico cat that ran out of its Colorado home five years ago while it was being renovated has been found hundreds of miles away in New York City.

According to the New York Post, "Willow" was found on East 20th Street by a man who took the cat to New York's Animal Care and Control.  After scanning its implanted microchip, the shelter was able to track down the cat's owners in Colorado.

The newspaper says Willow could be reunited with its family in two weeks.
