NM State Police Fire on Minivan Full of Children During Car Chase

iStock/Thinkstock(TAOS, N.M.) -- A New Mexico mother and her teenage son face felony charges, and several New Mexico State Police officers are under investigation, following what started as a routine traffic stop last month.

Police dash-cam video shows the incident, during which Oriana Ferrell drove off while an officer wrote her a speeding ticket. When she pulled over again, the officer attempted to arrest her.

Then, Ferrell's 14-year-old son rushed the officer. When Ferrell drove off again, an officer opened fire on the minivan, which was filled with children.

No injuries were reported.

Ferrell and her son were arrested and the police are under investigation.
