(PEMBROKE PINES, Fla.) -- UPDATE: According to a police official, a lockdown of schools in Broward County, Florida has been lifted and the threat level has diminished, although an investigation is ongoing.
Hundreds of schools were on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after a threat of a shooting.
Captain Dan Rakofsky, of Pembroke Pines, says police there initially received information from a local radio station indicating a woman had called the station to say her husband was going to show up at a school in Pembroke Pines and start shooting.
Subsequently an email threat was sent but it is not clear to whom. The identities of the woman and her husband are not known. The FBI had been summoned.
