(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) -- A high speed car chase on a Missouri highway came to a dramatic end Saturday night after an ex-sheriff’s deputy, believed to be linked to a double slaying, attempted to flee on foot into a hotel lobby and was shot and wounded.
Marvin Rice, 44, of Salem was accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife and her new boyfriend in Dent County, according to multiple reports.
Authorities chased Rice through two counties at speeds of up to 100 mph.
Rice suffered gunshot injuries but is expected to recover.
