(BRISTOW, Va.) -- Neighbors of John Michael Robey and Christina Dawn Moore in Bristow, Virginia always had their suspicions that something about the couple was not quite right, but they were never prepared for what happened last Saturday night.
Police rushed to the home after one of the couple's daughters showed up at a neighbor's house to allege that she and her two younger sisters were being held as virtual prisoners in a room in their home.
Authorities said a neighbor believed the terrified girl's claims and discovered that the children, ages four, two and four months, had been locked naked in a room that was sealed shut with a five-foot-tall section of drywall nailed over the door.
The neighbor freed the other girls from the room, which was covered with urine and feces, and alerted the police.
Robey and Moore were arrested and face three counts of felony child abuse. Their daughters have been removed from their custody.
