US Airways Experiences Online System Outage
(TEMPE, Ariz.) -- A large number of US Airways customers were stranded Friday after the airline's computer system crashed. The computer outages appeared to affect the airline's customer website as well as its airport computer system.
US Airways spokesperson, Valerie Wunder says a power outage at a US Airways data center near Pheonix, Ariz. cause the online systems to go down, crippling the check-in process.
US Airways says system functions are returning to normal as they are working to restore operations. Customers should check their flight's status before arriving at the airport in the meantime.
