Porn Star Teacher Plans to Fight Dismissal

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- A Southern California science teacher who was fired for allegedly working as a porn star under the name Tiffany Six before she was hired will appeal her dismissal.

Stacie Halas, 32, a junior high teacher in the Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School since 2009, was fired Wednesday after a vote by the Oxnard School District trustees.

“We disagree with the decision by the board to dismiss or seek the dismissal of Miss Halas. It is our intention at this time to vigorously contest the charges,” attorney Richard Schwab told the Ventura County Star Friday.

“The type of conduct she engaged in was lawful conduct in a business which, while others may disagree with its content, is very vibrant in both Los Angeles as well as the state of California,” Schwab added.

Halas had been put on paid administrative leave in March after fellow teachers used their smart phones to find her film credits on March 2.

The school district sent a letter home to parents. The letter, obtained by ABC News, advised parents that no students were involved in the controversy, but asked them to strictly monitor students so they do not access the sites that the letter says “contain extremely graphic and inappropriate pornographic material.”

The letter cautioned parents to make sure their children don’t share related links or content on Facebook or other social networking sites.

Rumors of the teacher’s acting sideline started as gossip among students, but once these rumors reached administrators, they decided to take action.

“Some students at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School started a rumor that one of the teachers at the school was involved in pornography,” Oxnard School District Superintendent Jeff Chancer told ABC News.

Administrators were unable to find the alleged movies because software within school computers prohibited access to inappropriate sites. After they could not verify the claims, administrators sent a memo assuring the school community this was all just a rumor.

However, teachers at the school searched sites on their smartphones, which could bypass the school’s protective firewall, and found X-rated material supposedly featuring their colleague.

“Administrators looked at the videos and they felt that it may be one of their teachers. So they contacted the district and we investigated it,” Chancer told ABC News.

Porn Star Turned Science Teacher Terminated

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) -- A science teacher whose students came across her adult movie past has been fired by a California school board.

Oxnard school district officials voted unanimously this week that Stacie Halas, 31, will no longer work as a science teacher at the Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School, according to The Smoking Gun website. Halas, who sometimes performed under the stage name Tiffany Six, began teaching 7th and 8th graders in Oxnard in 2009.

Halas was suspended last month after administrators learned that students found explicit videos in which she starred. The Smoking Gun reports she performed in a "variety" of adult features before she landed her teaching job.

Minnesota Teen Can’t Bring Porn Star to Prom

Hemera/Thinkstock(OAKDALE, Minn.) -- A Minnesota high school senior who asked 600 porn stars to prom on Twitter will not be allowed to bring the one who said yes, his school said.

Mike Stone, 18, tweeted to his prospective dates: “i have dinner hotel and ill give u a massage to.”

The teenager told ABC News he turned to Twitter after several girls at Tartan High School in Oakdale, Minn., turned him down.

“I didn’t expect this to get blown up. It’s great. Everyone at my school is supporting me,” Stone said.

But school administrators didn’t think so. They banned Megan Piper, 19, who is a Los Angeles-based adult entertainer, from attending prom.

Stone, whose mother said he has special needs, didn’t tell her about his porn star date at first.

“I was a little upset at first and I feel like I’m on my kids and know what they’re up to,” Diven Stone said. “But I support him and I don’t understand what her profession has to do with anything.”

In a statement released to ABC affiliate KSTP, Tartan High School said Piper’s attendance “would be prohibited under Tartan’s standard prom procedures and would be inconsistent with two school district policies.” Those policies prohibit activity that may lead to disruptions.

Piper said she is disappointed the school banned her from being Stone’s prom date, especially since she never attended her own high school prom.

“I can make this kid’s dream prom experience come true and get a chance to go to prom,” she told ABC News. “It was a win for both of us.”

Mike and his date said they plan to throw their own “alternative prom” and invite the Tartan High School students to attend it instead.

California Teacher Put on Leave for Allegedly Moonlighting as Porn Star

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(OXNARD, Calif.) -- A California science teacher who allegedly moonlighted as a porn star has been put on leave after fellow teachers used their smartphones to find the woman’s film credits.

The identity of the seventh- and eighth-grade teacher was not released by the Oxnard School District, which is meeting Wednesday night to discuss the matter.

In the meantime, the school district sent a letter to parents. The letter, obtained by ABC News, advises parents that no students are involved in the scandal, but asks them to strictly monitor students so they do not access these sites that the letter says “contain extremely graphic and inappropriate pornographic material.”

The letter particularly asks parents to make sure their children do not share links or content on Facebook or other social networking sites.

Rumors of the teacher’s acting sideline started as gossip among students last Friday, but once these rumors reached administrators, they decided to take action.

“We contacted the teacher over the weekend, met with her on Monday morning, and at 8 a.m. we placed her on administrative leave,” he said.

The Oxnard School District will meet Wednesday night at a regularly scheduled board meeting and will discuss the future investigation and further action that will be taken.

“We will be talking about this situation in a closed session,” Chancer told ABC News.

“We are investigating the allegation now. We are working with legal counselors to determine which way we will go with it.”
