First lady Michelle Obama was on hand with a host of celebrities to kick off the event at the Library of Congress.  Mrs. Obama and Education Secretary Arne Duncan took turns reading Dr. Seuss' famous book, Green Eggs and Ham, to children gathered for the festivities.

The first lady told the kids, "The president reads so much.  He knows all of the facts."

Others reading to kids included actresses Jessica Alba and Bridget Moynahan, model/fashion designer Camila Alves, reality TV star Adrienne Maloof and Super Bowl champion Donald Driver.
