Police Arrest Boyfriend of Missing Las Vegas Showgirl

Photo Courtesy - DebbieFlores [dot] wordpress [dot] com(LAS VEGAS) -- Police have arrested the boyfriend of missing Las Vegas showgirl Debbie Flores-Narvaez on one count of murder. Las Vegas Metropolitan police have not indicated whether Jason "Blu" Griffith was arrested in connection with Flores-Narvaez' disappearance or if there have been any further developments in the investigation.

Griffith was charged with one count of domestic-violence-related battery, a misdemeanor, and one count of coercion, a felony in that case, and is accused of kicking and punching Flores-Narvaez in an incident on Oct. 22.

The 31-year-old Flores-Narvaez, a former NFL cheerleader and lawyer who was a burlesque dancer at the Luxor Casino's "Fantasy" show, was last seen with Griffith on Dec. 12.

Griffith is considered a person of interest because he was the last person to see Flores-Narvaez before she disappeared. He has been cooperating with the investigation, police said.

Flores-Narvaez told police who responded to the October incident that she'd been dating Griffith for a year and was pregnant with his child.

Family of Missing Las Vegas Showgirl Launch Website to Aid Search

Photo Courtesy - DebbieFlores [dot] wordpress [dot] com(LAS VEGAS) – The sister of missing Las Vegas showgirl Debbie Flores-Narvaez has created a website urging visitors to help bring her home.

The 31-year-old lawyer-turned-showgirl was reported missing on December 14 after she failed to show up for work at the Luxor Casino for a performance the night before.  Her car was found by police in a parking lot in the northwest section of the city with a purse or makeup bag in the back seat.

Police have questioned the dancer’s ex-boyfriend, Jason "Blu" Griffith, because he was the last person to see Flores-Narvaez before she disappeared. The aspiring rapper had also been accused of abusing Flores-Narvaez in an incident back in October. However, police say he is not a suspect and is cooperating with the investigation.

The Website, DebbieFlores.wordpress.com, asks for donations to aid in the search and includes a flyer for those who wish to help.

Police Continue Search for Missing Las Vegas Showgirl

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(LAS VEGAS) -- Police are continuing their search for missing Las Vegas showgirl Debbie Flores-Narvaez, while her ex-boyfriend had a court appearance Tuesday to answer to charges he had beaten her up in an earlier incident.

An attorney for Jason "Blu" Griffith, an aspiring rapper, appeared in Las Vegas Justice Court on his behalf.  The judge set a preliminary hearing date for April 2011.

Griffith is charged with one count of domestic-violence-related battery, a misdemeanor, and one count of coercion, a felony.  He is accused of kicking and punching Flores-Narvaez, a lawyer-turned-dancer, on Oct. 22.

A police report said the alleged abuse started when Griffith took Flores-Narvaez's iPhone and she argued with him about it.  Griffith acknowledged arguing with her, but denied being violent or taking her phone, the police report said.

The police report also said Flores-Narvaez had bruises on her legs and lost a tuft of her hair.

The 31-year-old Flores-Narvaez, a former NFL cheerleader who was a burlesque dancer at the Luxor Casino's "Fantasy" show, was last seen with Griffith on Dec. 12.

Griffith is considered a person of interest because he was the last person to see Flores-Narvaez before she disappeared, but he is not a suspect and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

Vegas Showgirl Mystery: Obsessed Fans to Blame?

File photo. Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(LAS VEGAS) -- Police in Las Vegas are searching for a lawyer-turned showgirl who has been missing for more than a week; her sister believes the dancer may be in danger.

"Bring her home. Let her go. Let us know something. What is it that you want?" Celeste Flores-Narvaez said in an open plea for her sister's return.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez, 31, is a burlesque dancer at the Luxor Casino's "Fantasy" show. When she didn't turn up for her performance on Dec. 13, friends and loved ones became worried.

Police found her car in a parking lot in the northwest section of the city and are now conducting forensic testing. Investigators reportedly found a purse or makeup bag in the back seat.

Dancing was Debbie Flores-Narvaez's dream. According to her Facebook page, she had a law degree and a master's in finance. Her sister said she'd also been a cheerleader for the Washington Redskins. Debbie Flores-Narvaez put all that on hold to grab a spot at headlining on the Las Vegas strip.

"It's not (like) her to go missing," Celeste Flores-Narvaez told KTNV TV, ABC News' affiliate in Las Vegas. "It's not her to take a small vacation like this."

Deon Ridley, a friend who danced with the dancer for three years, said Flores-Narvaez had expressed concern over obsessed fans.

The missing dancer's sister said police have a few persons of interest, but she is adamant that her sister is alive.
