(WASHINGTON) -- For the third time in about one week, someone set off a bottle bomb at a Washington, D.C.-area movie theater.
The latest incident happened at the same theater as the first incident in Tysons Corner, Virginia near the end of a showing of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Fairfax County Deputy Fire Chief Mike Riley said that two patrons reported being splashed with an undetermined fluid or acid and were decontaminated.
The previous incident at the Tysons Corner theater occurred on May 18. Yet another incident took place on Saturday at a theater in Largo, Md.
It has not yet been determined whether the incidents are connected, though a police investigation is ongoing.
