Fall River House Destroyed by Fire

(FALL RIVER, Mass.) -- A house in Fall River was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning.

The blaze was reported around 4 a.m., with fire crews being dispatched to the two-story home on Alsop Street. Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames, but officials said the house was a total loss. Two people who were in the home when the fire broke out, managed to make it out safely.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
