Family Offers $10,000 Reward to Find Man's Killer
(PROVIDENCE, R.I.) -- The family of a man who was murdered in Providence in June is doing their part to help catch their loved one's killer.
Ivan Taveras, 32, was gunned down on June 2 on Cranston Street in front of his 5-year-old son. Police have since issued a warrant for Jovani Torres, the man they beleieve pulled the trigger, but so far Torres remains at large.
Taveras' family is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Torres, and family members are also posting dozens of flyers with the suspect's picture and the reward amount in hopes that someone will come forward with information.
