Narragansett Blaze Sends One to Hospital

(NARRAGANSETT, R.I.) -- One person was injured during an early-morning house fire in Narragansett on Monday.

The fire was reported around 12:30 a.m., with fire crews rushing to the scene at a home located on Boon Street. Firefighters worked to battle the raging flames and also to rescue at least four people from the burning structure, including one person who was found hanging from a second-floor window.

One person was taken to an area hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
