New Bedford Credit Union Robbed

(NEW BEDFORD, Mass.) — The New Bedford Credit Union in the North End was robbed Monday morning, The Standard-Times reports.

Police say a man wearing dark sunglasses entered the credit union at 120 Dawson St. around 11:30 a.m. Monday and handed the teller a note demanding cash. He then fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No gun was shown and no injuries were reported, the paper says.

The suspect is described as a while male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, around 30 years of age. Police say he was wearing a long white sweatshirt, a black baseball cap with a New England Patriots logo and dark sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 508-991-6300 ext. 320.
