Plane with Marriage Proposal Banner Crashes

(NARRAGANSETT, R.I.) -- A marriage proposal went totally wrong on Monday, and it had nothing to do with the answer being "no."

A plane carrying a banner with the message "Will you marry me?" crashed in Block Island Sound on Monday around 3 p.m. The small plane reportedly took off from Westerly State Airport. During flight the pilot began experiencing some sort of difficulty and the aircraft plunged into the water.

Emergency crews responded and the pilot was pulled from the water to safety.

The crash is being investigated.
