Two Escape Injury as Fire Guts Middletown Barn

(MIDDLETOWN, R.I.) -- Fire destroyed a barn in Middletown on Sunday, displacing two people in the process.
The fire was reported early Sunday morning, with fire crews being dispatched to the scene on Cordiero Terrace. Firefighters worked to battle the two-alarm blaze, which saw flames taking over the barn and an attached apartment, according to published reports.
Two men who inside the structure at the time, managed to make it out safely, according to ABC's Providence affiliate WLNE-TV. There were no reports of injury.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
