(HARTFORD, Conn.) -- Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was robbed for $60,000 outside a Bank of America on Burnside Avenue around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Authorities say the woman and her mother were about to enter the bank to make a deposit when the suspect allegedly wrestled the money away from her, sending the victim to the ground.
The two women said they were making the deposit on behalf of their family-owned business, Star Supermarket.
Police describe the suspect as a white or Hispanic male in his early 20s, standing five-foot-six to five-foot-nine with a thin build and brown hair in a pony tail. He was last seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans and running west on Chapel Street.
