Car Slams Into Bloomfield House and Catches Fire

(BLOOMFIELD, Conn.) -- One person is hospitalized after a car crashed into a Bloomfield home on Wednesday night and burst into flames.

The incident happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. at a house located at 61 Tyler Street. Police say a car ran off the roadway, slammed into the house and caught fire, with the flames then spreading to the home and completely destroying it.

The driver of the car was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
