Crash Shuts Down Route 115, Takes Out Power

(ANSONIA, Conn.) -- Police are investigating a vehicular crash that occurred in Ansonia on Thursday night.

The crash reportedly happened shortly before midnight on Route 115 between State Street and Ridge Road. Published reports stated a vehicle slammed into a utility pole, knocking out power for some customers in the surrounding area.

There were no reports of injury.

Part of Route 115 in the immediate vicinity of the crash was shut down for some time as a result of the crash.
