Newington Police Investigate Armed Robbery at 7-Eleven

(NEWINGTON, Conn.) -- Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a 7-Eleven store in Newington on Thursday night.
The robbery reportedly happened shortly after 10 p.m. at the store located on New Britain Avenue. Police said two men entered the store -- one armed with a gun the other with a knife -- and demanded cash from a clerk. One robber reportedly held a knife to the clerk's throat, with the men then taking an undisclosed sum of money from a cash register along with some cigarettes before fleeing on foot.
No injuries were reported.
