Three West Hartford Businesses Damaged by Fire

(WEST HARDFORD, Conn.) -- An early-morning blaze damaged three businesses in West Hartford on Tuesday.

The fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. after being discovered by workers at McLadden’s Irish Publick House on LaSalle Road. Fire crews responded and determined that smoke was coming from inside the nearby Reuben’s Deli, which had been closed for some time for renovations. Firefighters were able to enter the business and worked to extinguish the blaze, which caused damage to both the deli and the pub, as well as a neighboring optical center.

There were no reports of injury.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
