Two Killed in Hartford Weekend Shootings

(HARTFORD, Conn.) -- Two people are dead following a spate of shootings in Hartford over the weekend.

In one incident, police were called to a parking lot at 99 Ashley Street early Saturday morning, where 24-year-old Michael Bailey Jr. was reportedly found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Bailey was taken to St. Francis hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The other fatal shooting happened on Saturday night, as police said they responded to a shooting on the 100 block of Thomaston Street, where a 16-year-old boy was found in a driveway unresponsive with an apparent gunshot. That victim was also taken to St. Francis hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations into both killings are ongoing.
