Update: Body Found Near South Water St. Pier Identified

(NEW LONDON, Conn.) -- Police have identified a woman who was found dead in New London on Wednesday.

The dead woman has been identified as 29-year-old Katie Valvo, of Otis, Massachusetts.

Valvo's body was discovered on Wednesday morning underneath a pier off of South Water Street.

Authorities have tentatively ruled the woman's death as accidental, as results from further tests are still pending.
