House Explodes in Long Island

(BRENTWOOD, N.Y.) – An explosion at a vacant house in Long Island left a street full of debris and stunned neighbors on Sunday morning.

The vacant house on 43 4th Street was being renovated. The explosion sent wood and glass onto the street and houses nearby. There were no fatalities. Twenty-one people received minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital.

Officials believe the explosion which may be gas-related was accidental. They are, however, still investigating.
