Thousands Celebrate First Anniversary of Same-Sex Marriage Law

(NEW YORK) -- The annual gay pride march took place in New York City on Sunday, coinciding with the first anniversary same-sex marriage becoming legal in New York State.

Governor Andrew Cuomo was joined by New York City's Mayor Michael Bloomberg in the march through the streets of Manhattan.

The theme for this year's parade was "Share The Love." Cyndi Lauper served as one of the grand marshals, with hundreds of thousands of people coming out to support the march.
