Youth Urged to Utilize State Employment Programs

(ALBANY, N.Y.) -- State officials are advising youth across New York State to take advantage of the jobs that are available through state employment programs.

"Jobs, jobs, jobs are essential to rebuilding New York and getting our state's economy back on track," Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a statement. "Our state's future economic success is dependent on our young people being able to launch careers right here in New York, and these programs have already been a tremendous success in helping connect our youth with employment opportunities throughout the state. I encourage additional young people and businesses to get involved."

Both Governor Cuomo and Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy recommend the NY Youth Works and Summer Jobs programs for those looking for work.
