On Thursday afternoon, Miriam Carey, a 34-year old dental hygienist, drove her car into barricades at the White House before leading police on a chase to Capitol Hill, where she was shot and killed.  ABC News Senior National Correspondent Jim Avila has the details from Washington.

Jackson Trial Verdict
It's been years since Michael Jackson's death, but legal fights surrounding the circumstances of his passing have continued, and this week a jury reached a verdict in the wrongful death suit between the Jackson family and concert promoter A-I-G.  ABC's David Wright reports from Los Angeles.

Kenyan Mall Attack
Last Saturday's terrorist attack on a mall in Nairobi, Kenya claimed the lives of more than 70 people.  Since then, we've learned more about al-Shabab, the al-Qaida affiliate that carried out the deadly strike.  ABC's Linsey Davis has more from Nairobi.

American Terrorists
The group claiming responsibility for the attack in Kenya is no stranger to U-S anti-terrorism officials.  Al-Shabab has been recruiting followers all over the world, including here in the United States.  So what tools and tactics did they employ to recruit U-S members into their ranks?  ABC News Chief Investigative Correspondent Brian Ross has the details.

Navy Yard Shooting

On Monday morning, 34-year-old Aaron Alexis shot and killed 12 people and injured eight more at the Navy Yard in Washington.  Since then, we've learned the former naval reservist reported hearing voices in his head and had previous brushes with the law.  Could these warning signs have prevented the tragedy?  Here's ABC News Senior National Correspondent Jim Avila.

Modeling Scam
There are young women all around the world who dream of becoming successful models ... and fueling those dreams are the rare stories of women discovered by modeling agencies in the mall or right on the street.  Now authorities in New York say one Long Island agency preyed on those dreams, scamming more than 60 families out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.  ABC's Aaron Katersky has the details.
