Clinton Jabs Trump for Staff Shake-Up: 'There's No New Donald Trump'

ABC News(CLEVELAND) -- Hillary Clinton took a shot at Donald Trump's new staff shake-up during a rally in Cleveland, Ohio Wednesday, where she also made a joke about the Republican presidential nominee's teleprompter use and hit him for not releasing his tax returns.

"There are just 83 days left in this election. I keep track of them. Cross them off. And for anyone waiting for Donald Trump to suddenly become more responsible: Remember what a great American, Maya Angelou said. 'When someone shows you who they are, believe them,'" Clinton told the crowd of roughly 2,000 inside the gymnasium of John Marshall High School.

"And I think it's fair to say that Donald Trump has shown us who he is. He can hire and fire anybody he wants from his campaign. They can make him read new words from a teleprompter, but he's still the same man who insults gold star families, demeans women, mocks people with disabilities and thinks he knows more about ISIS than our generals," she continued. "There is no new Donald Trump. This is it."

Clinton was referring to a staff shake-up among Trump's campaign leadership: Breitbart News' Stephen Bannon has been named campaign CEO and pollster Kellyanne Conway has been prompted to campaign manager.

The move, announced Wednesday, is seen by some as yet another sign of Trump's struggling campaign, now less than three months from Election Day.

Speaking today in Cleveland, Clinton also continued to contrast her tax plan with Trump's.

"We are going to tax the wealthy who have made all of the income gains in the last 15 years, the super wealthy, corporations, Wall Street," she said, adding that the wealthy will help fund education, skills training programs, and infrastructure plans.

"Donald Trump doesn't need a tax cut. I don't need a tax cut," she added. "It's time for the wealthiest Americans, whoever you are, as well as corporations and wall Street, to pay your fair share in taxes. You have been successful in this country because of everything that this country represents."

Clinton also doubled down on Trump for not releasing his tax returns, suggesting it may be a sign he isn't as wealthy as he says.

"Under his plan, Donald Trump would pay lower tax rate than middle class families. Of course, we have no what tax rate he pays because, unlike everybody else who has run for president in the last four or five decades, he refuses to release his tax return so the American people can't really judge," she exclaimed.
