Next GOP Presidential Debate to Feature Rick Perry
Justin Sullivan/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) -- Republican presidential candidates are scheduled to face off once again in a debate to be held on Wednesday, Sept. 7. This time, however, they’ll be joined by Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
Perry waited until the day after the last debate on Aug. 11 to declare his intention to seek the GOP nomination, so it'll be the first opportunity for him to directly confront his rivals.
The other candidates on the podium will be Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum.
It's expected that President Obama will have announced by then his proposals to create more jobs, which each Republican will most likely criticize.
The other certainty is that since the event is being held at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, all of the candidates will likely compare themselves favorably to the late 40th president.
