Sanders Wins Alaska and Washington State Democratic Caucuses

ABC News(NEW YORK) -- Sen. Bernie Sanders won Democratic caucuses in Washington state, Alaska and Hawaii on Saturday, giving him five caucus victories in the last four days.

Sanders has now won 15 primary contests, though Hillary Clinton still maintains a large delegate lead.


Sanders claimed victory in the Democratic caucuses in Alaska.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders won 82 percent to Clinton's 18 percent.

Sanders thanked Alaskans in a tweet after he was declared him the winner.


Sanders declared victory in the Hawaii Democratic caucuses.

With 88 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders led 71 percent to Clinton's 29 percent.


Sanders wins Democratic caucuses in Washington state.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders won 73 percent to Clinton's 27 percent.

"We are on a path toward victory," Sanders said at a rally at the University of Wisconsin after being declared the winner in Washington. "It is hard for anybody to deny that our campaign has the momentum."
