Sen. Coburn Disparages Senate Leader Reid YORK) -- Sen. Tom Coburn revealed what he really thinks about Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid during a speech Monday night at the New York Young Republican Club.

The Oklahoma Republican pretty much laid it on the line regarding his feelings about working with the Nevada Democrat, saying, "There’s no comity with Harry Reid.  I think he’s an absolute a—hole."

Other Democrats got off far easier than Reid when Coburn, one of the most conservative members of the Senate, was asked if there was bipartisan cooperation.

Coburn quipped, "I have great relationships with Chuck Schumer.  I don’t say that in Oklahoma."  Schumer is the senior senator from New York.

In response to Coburn's assessment of their boss, Reid's office released the following statement Tuesday: "Nothing says ‘comity’ like childish playground name-calling, especially from a senator who has not sponsored a single piece of successful bipartisan legislation during his entire Senate career."
