Sen. Crapo Pleads Guilty to DWI Charge -- Sen. Michael Crapo, R-Idaho, pleaded guilty Friday morning to a drunk driving charge from December.

Crapo’s license will be suspended for one year, and he will be required to attend an alcohol rehabilitation program along with paying a $250 fine. Crapo will not have to serve a 180 day jail sentence if he maintains good behavior.

Crapo was arrested in the early morning of Dec. 23 in Alexandria, Va., after running a red light. Crapo’s blood alcohol level registered at .11 percent at the time.

Crapo is a Mormon and has served in the U.S. Senate since 1999.
