Environmentalists Seek to Save Nevada Reptile, Amphibian

(RENO, Nev.) -- On Wednesday, the Center for Biological Diversity filed a formal petition under the Endangered Species Act to protect the Arizona toad and western pond turtle.

The Center reports about 25 percent of amphibians and reptiles in the U.S. face extinction due to factors like climate change, pollution and habitat destruction.
