Nine Arrested at DUI Checkpoint

(RENO, Nev.) -- Nine people were arrested Saturday night during a DUI checkpoint exercise in Reno.

The arrests came after some 3,000 drivers were stopped during the exercise, which took place on Kietzke Lane between South McCarran Boulevard and Neil Road between the hours of 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Apart from the nine DUI arrests, several other drivers were handed citations for violations such as expired registrations, fictitious plates, and for not wearing a seatbelt.
