Red Flag Warning in the Reno Area on Thursday
(RENO, Nev.) -- The National Weather Service has issued a red-flag warning in the Reno area for noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday, according to a report in the Reno Gazette-Journal.
High winds and dry conditions forecasted for Thursday could lead to wildfires. Wind gusts could reach 45 miles per hour. The presence of dry grasses due to the lack of snow during the winter only adds to the risk of potential fires, according to the report.
