Reno Officials Seek to Improve High-Crash Corridor Plumas Street

(RENO, Nev.) -- City officials will focus on improving the safety of Reno’s Plumas Street at Thursday’s public meeting hosted by the Regional Transportation Commission.

The Reno Gazette Journal reports that the meeting will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Anderson Elementary School, located at 1055 Berrum Lane.

City officials are considering creating a three-lane configuration with a travel lane in each direction and a center turn lane. The improvements are slated to slow traffic and improve safety.

Plumas Street is currently rated a high-crash corridor, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.
