Four-Car Crash with Teen Driving Stolen SUV Leaves One Dead

(SALT LAKE CITY) -- One woman who was involved in a four-car accident during a police chase on Sunday night is dead, ABC affiliate KTVX reports.

Police say a 17-year-old runaway boy who fled a youth program and stole an SUV is responsible for the accident. The teen sped off when police spotted the vehicle, and officers chased him until he crashed. The boy tried fleeing, but police caught him.

A 65-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and the male passenger was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
